About Stoops & Walkways
Your stoop and walkway are how everyone gets to your front door, so you notice when they’re cracked, sunken or uneven. Over time the ground underneath settles, frost moves things around, and water sitting in low spots makes it worse.
Some problems are a repair: replacing cracked sections, resetting sunken pavers or bricks, fixing the edges. Others need the stoop or walkway taken out and rebuilt on a proper base so it stays level. Joseph looks at what’s going on underneath and tells you which one makes sense.

Common Questions
Part of my walkway has sunk. Can that be fixed?
Joseph will look at it and tell you whether it can be repaired or needs to be rebuilt, and give you a written quote either way.
Why does my walkway keep sinking?
Usually because the base underneath wasn’t built up and packed down properly, or water is washing it out. Fixing the surface without fixing the base just means it sinks again.
Can my stoop be repaired, or does it need to be rebuilt?
If the damage is on the surface, a repair often does it. If the stoop has shifted or is pulling away from the house, a rebuild is usually the lasting fix.
