Steps are also the first thing visitors see and the first place someone trips. Caught early, it’s usually a repair: resetting loose bricks, redoing mortar, patching concrete. When the base underneath has failed, the steps may need to be rebuilt, and we will tell you which one you’re looking at.

Common Questions
Can my steps be repaired, or do they need to be rebuilt?
It depends on how much of the step is damaged and whether the base underneath has moved. We will look at them and tell you before you get a quote.
Can cracked concrete steps be fixed, or do they need to be replaced?
Small cracks and surface damage can usually be repaired. If the steps have sunk, shifted or the concrete is breaking up throughout, rebuilding is often the better fix.
Why do my steps crack more every winter?
Water gets into small cracks, freezes and expands. Each winter makes the cracks a little bigger, so fixing them early slows that down.
